Neglected tropical diseases are diseases of inequity. Therefore addressing NTDs directly contributes to universal health care, strengthening health systems by increasing access to hard-to-reach people and training community health workers.
Lymphoedema is a common, life-altering consequence of several NTD’s, bringing pain, stigma and social exclusion for millions.
