On World Lymphedema Day our Ethiopia team went out to Mezo Feten and Menzo Seyato health posts in Sankura, south of Addis Ababa to workshop our massage video with people affected by filariasis and podoconiosis related lymphoedema. We're supplying the equipment they need; bowls, soap, towels, and massage oil. These items are cheap and easy to supply, getting the teams out to remote locations is not! We still need at least another $100K for this first stage of development. Donations over $2 are tax deductible Natnael, Fikre, Mebratu and Dereje will go back to the Mezo Feten and Menzo Seyato health posts again in a few weeks. Follow-up visits like these are essential to encourage people to continue using the self-care practices long enough to experience the benefits.
